Welcome, November!

Can I tell you how glad I am that the 31 Days Challenge is over? So glad. I certainly learned a lot from the experience, but man, pumping out a post every day is TOO MUCH for this mama. My house suffered in the meantime, and I’ve missed writing about things other than music. That being said, it was a lot of fun… and if I get nutty enough, I’ll think about doing it again next year. But there’s time to think about that. I’ve gotta recover for now. 😉

So what have I been up to in October? My cutie-patootie bedheaded preschooler turned four at the beginning of the month, and we also celebrated the birthdays of my mom-in-law, my nephew, and my dad. Needless to say, we ate a lot of cake this month. We visited a couple of pumpkin patches. I finished the end of my canning. I’ve been trying to organize in small bite-sized sessions to make my house slightly more manageable. I’ve been practicing for a couple of upcoming concerts.

What’s up for November? Comfort food. More organizing. Homemade Christmas gifts. A few preschool field trips. Refocusing on my time with the kiddos. Rest.

Hopefully I’ll also be getting back into the regular swing of things here on the blog. Sharing recipes, family stories, what I’m learning along with the kiddos… you know, all that good old homey stuff I love so much. I’ll be reinstating Good Pickins’  on Saturday mornings, and I’m planning a book review of Trina Holden’s Your Real Food Journey: A Gentle Guide to Steady Progress in the very near future.

How was your October? Hoping you have a joyful November 1st.
